Child-friendly Activities - Mini Bowl at White Sands Shopping Centre

If your darling toddler is growing out of her baby bowling set, then you should head down to Mini Bowl at White Sands Shopping Centre.

It is rather secluded so I'm not surprised if no one has never heard of it.

It is at the very end of the bowling arena at White Sands Shopping Centre.

Eventhough the words (MINI BOWL) are very colourful, you wouldn't really notice it.

Anyhow, it's super simple to start playing.

You just need COINS - lots of it.

Unlike adult bowling, mini bowl is not rated per hour, which is great because to be frank with you, I don't believe that the young ones can last up to an hour of bowling - at least mine doesn't.

For just $2, your little cherub can get up to 5 throws.

Super cheap, isn't it?

I think so.

Since it is child-friendly, the bowling balls are very light - even Fayrah can carry it on her own.

Also the bars are permanently lifted on both sides.

That is to prevent the balls from going into the gutter (Maybe they should do that when I bowl too)

Review - Hotel Grand Chancellor (Surfer's Paradise)

The most important part of any travel for my family and I is the hotel.

Luxurious hotels was not what we were looking for during our family trip to Gold Coast, Australia.

we were looking for a decent accomodation as we will be spending 90% of each day sight-seeing.

Therefore, Hotel Grand Chancellor Surfer's Paradise was the PERFECT choice.

There is a choice of 2 twin beds or 1 king size bed for the main room..

...while the second (smaller) room had 1 single bed.

The features in this hotel are very basic.

But it was good enough for us.

Personally, I really like Hotel Grand Chancellor - Surfer's Paradise

I mean, the staff were friendly, the overall condition of the toilet was excellent and CLEAN.

The best part about this hotel is the location.

It deserves a 5-star for its location.

It was extremely convenient to find food and public transport was easily accessible.

However, the only downside is the food.

They served ham during breakfast and obviously, that's a NO-NO for us.

Breakfast was just fruits and cereals.

Besides the food, everything else about Hotel Grand Chancellor - Surfer's Paradise was perfecto!

It deserves a 4/5 stars!

Summer Holiday 2012 - SeaWorld - Australia

We started off our second day with ... breakfast!

DUH!

Breakfast is the MOST IMPORTANT meal of the day.

I am going to be a little emotional here and just say how thankful I am for Fayrah's non-fussy eating habits.

Yeah, there are times when I feel like screaming because she wouldn't finish up her last scoop of rice.

But I am grateful that she eats almost ANYTHING!

Alhamdullillah.

Anyhow, we headed downstairs for breakfast.

She loved those boots!

Fayrah was too distracted...AGAIN!

Don't you love how the simplest thing, like having breakfast, can be such fun for the little ones.

After breakfast, it was time to start our agenda for the day, which was SeaWorld!

The first time I went with DaHubster (about 2 years back), we didn;t get to visit this place.

We were more interested in going for the rides rather than seeing sea animals.

(It seemed eons ago when I had the energy and courage of a teenager. Maybe pregnancy wiped off my fearless attitude)

The journey from our hotel to SeaWorld did not take very long. It was less than an hour.

One thing that I had to get used to during our family vacation to Gold Coast was the distance.

I can't believe that the journey from the airport to the hotel took 2 hours!

Anyhow, we arrived there safe and sound.

Alhamdullillah.

It wasn't too crowded, which was fantastic.

While waiting for the crowd to enter SeaWorld, we took the opportunity to snap snap!

SeaWorld has a lot of beautiful sea creatures.

Great effort was made to build a surrounding that is as close to their natural homes as is possible.

One of the many shows that we watched is the one with my favourite sea animal - the dolphins!

Why I like them best - because they are smart..like ME! Heh..

Anyhow, the show aims to create awareness and showcases some amazing "stunts" the wondrous creatures are capable of.

They are really amazing, you know.

So you have got to watch the performance at SeaWorld.

SeaWorld is a great place for families.

Youngsters who are more interested in testing out thrill rides may find it a tad bit boring.

There are some rides available but it may not be as exciting and thrilling as compared to the other attraction.

But SeaWorld has a lot of educational value.

It is perfect for families with children.

A great place to stroll along with your loved ones and enjoy the fresh air.

The only downside of our visit to SeaWorld was because the halal cafe was under construction!

It was very dissappointing because we ended up having to eat fish and chips for most of our journey.

And that brings us to the next attraction.

Formula to a GREAT vacation

While the Chinese celebrated Lunar New Year, the non-Chinese (me inclusive) cross over the border for a short, short holiday.

We head on down to the capital of Malaysia - Kuala Lumpur.

Our hotel was situated in the town area of the city - the area where it was happening. But look at how empty it was the morning of 19th February 2007! It was absolutely fantastic to walk around hassle-free. I did not have to fight for space! I had it all to myself! Bliss!

Formula One for a great vacation - People you love! Without them, vacation is just nothing. But when these people are there with you, it's not just a vacation, it becomes a darn great one!

Formula Two for a great vacation - Great food topped with celeb encounters! What's a vacation without trying out some of the local cuisine. As most of the shops were closed during the long holiday, we were lucky that Linda Onn's chicken rice stall was opened. To make it hundred times better, we met the owner herself plus her one heck of a hot, hoooooot boyfriend, Fahrin.

Aaaaaaahhhh...Alhamdullillah. The much-needed break.
