What would you do?

If you have a (1%) love-(99%) hate relationship with your working partner, how would you react when she expresses how glad she is to have you back in the classroom because she misses your company while you were away on medical leave?

Would you feel glad?

Or would that make you smile uneasily?

Indulge without any guilt.

Today is Sunday.

Sundays are usually meant for lazing around, having a movie marathon while munching on your mountain of snack.

Sundays are meant for doing nothing.

Sundays are meant to indulge.

But Sundays are NOT meant to feel guilty about caving in to your cravings.

Oh no no no!

Not after you see this,

From Discover My space...
She is human after all.

Thinking of sharing with your loved one that plate of brownie topped with Ben & Jerry's chocolate chewy ice cream?

Forget it!

Get one plate each!

In fact, go for seconds (or thirds) if you're up for it.

Don't compromise our faith.

About 5 years ago, I would cry at the thought of being alone on Valentine's Day.

Now, I find it amusing at how school children would rather go hungry just so they can buy bouquets of flowers, teddy bears or whatnots for their girlfriends/boyfriends - eventhough the prices are 2 or 3 times more than the usual.

When in secondary school, if Valentine's Day fell on a school day, I would wait the whole darn day for someone (Even if it was our famous Guy-with-the-Buku Tiga Lima pun aku happy) to hand me a gift - doesn't matter if it was bunga tahi ayam.

Thinking back, I felt like such a dimwit.

Now that I am older and wiser and in a relationship, I chose not to celebrate Valentine's Day.

Simply because I do not want to be a copycat and hope to lessen my sins. Hehe..

Rest for goodness' sake.

In Singapore, polyclinics and company clinics are known for being generous with issuing out medical certificates (affectionately known as MCs) - well, usually at least.

So when you visited the company clinic and they issue an MC for Thursday AND Friday rest, you know you are sick.

So jolly well, rest Liz.

Not a Maid Service. Thank You.

One's potential, talent and ability to excel should not be measured by skin colour or the number of years of experience.

I used to think that if you are of a certain skin colour with certain hair and eye colour, you would be the best choice for the job.

Now that I know better, I beg to differ.

Big time.

At the same time, there are those with more than a decade of experience but produce horrible results.

One way to measure a person's potential is by how she handles herself at the time of the event.

A teacher's potential however, should be measured by how she is able to capture and maintain the children's attention as well as how she can manage and calm 25 excitable pre-schoolers.

I am quite tired of being someone's sidekick.

I shall not be ridiculed or belittled anymore.

Insya ALLAH.

One day, I hope to "run the show".

Insya ALLAH.
