It's going around

You might be down with a bug of some sort if you have the following symptoms.

That itchy feeling at the back of your throat.

Suddenly feeling cold even though the air-con is off.

Extreme fatigue - especially if it was (Kindergarten) Sports Day for the early part of the day.

Desire to be manja-ed by Mum and/or BabyLuv.

Do you have the symptoms above?

Most probably, you might be down with something.

High chance that you might be.

For the first time

A few more hours before we can call it our first.

Insya ALLAH.

RIP Brad.

I hate to admit this but I am probably the last person (in the universe) who does NOT know that Brad Renfro is dead!

Death by drugs

I came upon this discovery during the hoo-haa on the sudden death of Heath Ledger.

Growingt up, Brad Renfro was in my list of Men I Would Kill to Marry.

Of course, hormonal-driven list was created during the period of gullibilty, innocence, stupidity that the only thing that matters in a long-lasting relationship was money and looks.

So besotted was I to the late actor, I decided to adopt his last name.

Oh my gosh!

How embarrassing!

I cannot believe that I am actually admitting that on the world wide web.

Wishing my IC name was Aliza Renfro Moffatt, I went through my adolescence hoping to find a Brad Renfro lookalike. Hehe...

Anways, the reason for his death came as no surprise to me.

Drug abuse.

It's a shame when genius in a certain field is not able to bring that same talent into their personal life.

Just like how some university graduates are absolutely clueless as to how they should handle their personal life with that same success.

Of course, it does not apply to all grads.

What a waste.

Sighs.

Oh well.

Girl Power!

Today is International Women's Day!

Here in Singapore, we are absolutely blessed with gender equality that some of us have become somewhat complacent.

You know how sometimes we blame the men for looking down on us and making usof the fact that we are women?

We actually have ourselves to blame.

Not all of us but that very small minority who have so little respect for themselves that in turn, they bring down the beauty of being a woman because they have absolutely no respect for themselves.

We blame the rapists for not being able to control their sexual desires.

However, if you look at the fashion now, you can't really blame them, can you?

Don't get me wrong.

I am NOT siding with the criminal.

But the clothes donned by the girls as young as 13 years old are using less and less fabric.

At times, they are almost naked!

I feel that teenage girls of this Starbucks Generation should be educated on the importance of self-respect and self-worth before anything else - even before sex education.

They need to be reminded that the most priceless love that is worth crossing the seas for is - the love they can have for themselves.

Love to be accepting of the beauty that God has bestowed upon them.

Loving themselves and knowing that what they see in the mirror each day is not God's mistake.

To all the ladies who chanced upon this post, I wish you a happy (International) Women's Day. Never stop believing in yourselves and that you are definitely worth of being loved as much as anyone out there.

We can be anything we put our mind to

For I am only human.

While I threw a tantrum like a spoilt brat and fussed about how unfair my life is, a colleague of mine from the other side of town battled cancer.

While I folded my arms with a HURMPH! because I did not get my way with MyBabyLuv, that colleague of mine passed on.

When I received the heartbreaking news (via SMS), I simply stopped everything and just sat down.

It was like a wake-up call for me.

Everyday, I live my life fussing and getting annoyed about such trivial matters.

Somehow or rather, I felt stupid, immature and very silly.

What is losing your husband when compared to not being able to spend as much time with your boyfriend as you have hoped to?

What is battling with cancer when compared to having to postpone from buying that dress you have been looking for for months?

What is death when compared to living with an imperfect family?

Nothing! Nothing! Nothing!

Masya ALLAH.

Small matters are thrown out of proportion because we forget that while we go through the troubles in life (which may seem like the worst thing), there is someone else who is going through much, much worse events at that same time.

We also forget ALLAH s.w.t will not befall any misfortunes that are beyond our capabilities.
HE knows us better than we know ourselves.
